Inclusion Documents
At Woburn Lower School we are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all members of our community can participate fully in school life. We believe that diversity is a strength, which should be respected and celebrated by all those who learn, teach and visit here.
NURTURE AND WELLBEING
The wellbeing of our children is at the forefront of everything that we do. Please see our nurture page for information about support given to children.
SEND
Our SEND information document and our SEND policy will give you information about Woburn Lower School’s holistic approach to supporting children with special educational needs. The Equality information and objectives statement gives details of how the school meets its legal equality duties and the accessibility plan shows how we meet the needs of any type of disability. You can also find our Supporting medical needs policy on this page. The SEND local offer and the CBC SEND progress update give information about the support that Central Bedfordshire offers.
PUPIL PREMIUM
Pupil Premium is additional funding that parents may be eligible to claim for the benefit of their children in school. Its purpose is to ensure that all children from financially disadvantaged backgrounds benefit from the same opportunities as pupils from less deprived families. You will find further information in our Pupil Premium Brochure. Details of how the school spends the Pupil Premium funding can be found in the Pupil Premium Strategy Statements and Action Plans.

Quality Assurance Framework
We are delighted to share with you our new
Quality Assurance Framework for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). It is designed to support service leaders and professionals in monitoring consistency and quality for young people and their families in Central Bedfordshire.
It sets out the high expectations that we have in relation to the quality of support and processes that we seek and expect for our children and young people with SEND. It also sets out how we will continue to gather feedback from parents and carers as well as children and young people, so that we know where things are going well and where we need to continue to improve.
This framework provides professionals in Central Bedfordshire with a consistent approach to ensuring that our young people are safe, learning well, making good progress and having their needs met.
